Tim Bone, a trout fisherman from Colorado, got a nice surprise on a father & sons fishing trip recently. They reeled in a 30 ilb., 46.5 in. long northern pike at Stagecoach state park near Steamboat Springs. Bone said it took 20 minutes to reel in and the help of his friends to net the whopper, possibly a state record.
The family said that they plan to mount the pike on their living room wall and talk about it for decades to come. No "The Big One that Got Away" stories in this house.
