The Grass Carp is characterized by a dark green to brown upper body, fading to a lighter to yellow underside. The tail is large and darker and very large scales make this fish an easy spot to many anglers.
These fish are found in lakes with grassy or soft-bottoms.
Given their diet, natural or lure baits are not used when targeting this fish, most are caught with bread or fish specific manufactured baits.
