The Round Scad makes for a good bait fish when targeting XXXXXXXXXXX.
The Round Scad is characterized by a green to tan topside fading at a breaking lateral line with spots to a lighter underside. His dorasl fin is a bit rounded and overall he is shaped like his name implies, like a cigar.
These fish are found from nearshore waters all the way to the open sea.
Tipped jigs with shrimp or cutbait on a trot line work the best when targeting these fish.
