The Striped Mullet makes for a good bait fish when targeting Redfish.

The Striped Mullet is characterized by a silvery body with a darker upper. A smal rounded off head and a tiny mouth. Stripes are present running horizontally along his flank from head to tail, which is darker and forked.

These found are found in virtually all nearshore, coastal and inland waters, even venturing into fresh water.

Earthworms make for the best natural bait, while anything small and bait like make for the best artificial. The cast net is by far the best way to catch them.
