Size: Most common at a pound to 4 pounds with larger fish topping off at 10 or so pounds.
Fight: On lighter gear, a good, fun fighter with stamina.
Deliciousness: Good
Range: Both Coasts Technique: Drifting / Still Fishing

The Black Marget is characterized by a broader body that is silvery greyt with large thick darker stripes down his flnak. His fins are black or black tipped with a thin forked black tail.

These fish are normally found around some sort of mixed to patchy structure, from near shore to deeper waters.

Live shrimp, clam pieces and cutbaits make for the best artificial bait, while articials are not commonly used when targeting Black Margate.
