Water: Salt Where: Offshore
Size: Most common at 4-6 pounds with lunkers weighing in the 10 pound range.
Fight: A strong and hard pull, has some stamina and a stubborness about it that makes this a good catch.
Deliciousness: Good
Range: Both Coasts Technique: Still Fishing
Baits: Baitfish / Lures Tackle: Spinning / Baitcasting

The Ocean Triigerfish is characterized by a deep grey or darker body, that resembles an arrow when you see him with outspread fins.

These fish are found near structure from well offshore to nearshore is some warmer waters with structure and reefs.

Any cutbait makes for the best natural bait, while small jigs make for the best artificial.
