The Redear Sunfish is characterized by a green body with a yellower underside. A red spot behind the gill flap and a typical panfish body, if not slighty wider than most with darker spots or splotches running his flanks.
These fish are found along patchy grass and soft bottmos where his favorite food is lurking, mostly found in calm to slow waters.
Earthworms, crickets grass shrimp and especially snails and mullosks are the best natural bait, while spinners and poppers make for the best artificial bait.
