Captain Reports

Fish have feelings too ! Being a charter captain on the water and fishing with clients as much as I do, I’ve come up with a lot of theories of my own, I know your thinking “oh no, not another one of Fishdaddy’s theory’s”. (This theory is only for released fish of course) How many times have you fought a fish pulling drag and fighting all the way to and into the boat with what seems ...full report

Here we are during the first full week of June and Sunny warmer weather along with great tides has been the catalyst for great fishing already this month. For those anglers that are interested in catching some of the largest inshore game fish featured along the Nature Coast now is prime time to give it a shot. The stars and the moon have aligned in the perfect sequence to give anglers a great opportunity ...full report

Anna Maria Island Fishing Report June 1st - 6th 2015

Well the 1st of June started out soggy. I, along with most all the captains had to cancel due to the fact that it rained and lightened most of the day. The rest of the week was beautiful. None of my clients this week wanted to Tarpon fish, so I stayed inshore most of the week, but the reports I\\\'m getting are still saying that the tarpon bite is remaining strong at Bean Point and along the beach. ...full report

Tampa Bay Fishing Report 6/4/15
06/23/15 10:09 PM

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay. Mangrove Snapper bite is really heating up. Some of the largest Mango’s in years have been landed lately on Scaled Sardines around the bridges along with some large Black Drum while jigging for Pompano. The Pompano bite is not on fire just yet, any time now. Snook of all sizes have been landed lately on Scaled Sardine and Pinfish all over ...full report

Anna Maria Island And Surrounding Areas

May has been very productive, especially the Tarpon bite. We have jumped over 100 fish this past month and look for June to be just as impressive. The bite has been the best at the tide change near Bean Point and we still have been pretty successfully out at the bigger bridges in the Bay. Inshore, the Snook bite has remained strong with most fish being caught when the tide is moving at ambush points ...full report

Angler Reports

02/21/13 2:36 PM

I am new to the area, and have not had much time to fish the lake, but in the past three trips I have been killing the jumbo Bluegills and Black Crappie. I am originally from Northern Michigan so that's what we call them. I think down here they may be called Bream and Specs, I'm not sure though. On 2/15/13 I caught 12 gills the largest on was 12.5 inches long and 6.75 inches from top to bottom. ...full report

Anclote Fishing Pier
08/13/12 11:13 PM

We took our kayak out on the Anclote River for some morning fishing. Bites were steady from 6:30 AM until 8:30 AM. We were landing keeper Mangrove Snappers with live shrimp on a cork. We also landed a small Flounder and 6lbs. Sheepshead using Gulp® Sand Fleas on a red jig. From 8:30AM until 10:30AM, action stopped dead, other than pinfish and other small fish stealing our bait. As we were reeling ...full report

Venice South Jetty To Englwood
07/28/11 1:26 AM

My clients in the Venice beach area have brought news of Blacktips along the beaches. The largest one this week I have seen was 3 feet long, caught on live shrimp. Large Flounder, the biggest one 20 inches are also along the beaches. The best technique I know and heard used this week was using pieces of squid cut into strips and then threaded onto a jig head, bounced off the bottom with a lift-pause-reel, ...full report

Richie27" Snook6/30/11 Caspersons BeachThe Snook have been hitting on shrimp, Pinfish, small white jigs as well as top water baits during the mornings & throughout the afternoon. Early evening, watch near rock piles and lighted areas such as bridge bumpers where these fish have been holding. Top water baits resembling small Baitfish are the most effective for night time. For Redfish, outgoing ...full report

Pasco County Florida
04/19/11 12:25 PM

Pasco County waters have been heating up, with a number of King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and Trout being caught in virtually any depth of water. The tides have been strong, and so has the bite on live and artificial baits. Movement of the bait has been the key to targeting different species. Faster movements with flashy baits will produce the Kings and Spanish. Slower movement on the top ...full report
