Reel Till U Feel Charters, Tampa Bay Fishing Report The Mangrove Snapper bite still remains hot post Hermione. The storm brought a lot of fresh water to the area, along with no sun for a few days helped lower the water temp. While Snapper fishing a few small Gags and Red Groupers were landed. Some Cobia are roaming around eating whatever is presented to them, it always seems like the littler one ...full report

A touch of Fall... Fishing has been pretty good as we officially make our way into the fall season. Although the weather has not seemed to cool down much you can definitely tell that the fish have started to fall into their fall pattern. Bait has been plentiful out off the beaches of Anna Maria Island, Skyway Bridge, and the shallow grass flats around Anna Maria Island. The Redfish bite has picked ...full report

Welcome to sunny Florida other wise known as ground zero for hurricane season 2016. This year’s hurricane season has already been extremely unforgiving by most Floridians standards with 2 Hurricanes already causing extensive damage on both coasts. First there was Hurricane Hermine that flooded most of the Nature Coast on September 2nd. Roads, homes and many businesses saw between 2-4ft of floodwaters ...full report

Reel Till U Feel Charters, Tampa Bay Fishing Report This October has been one of the windiest I can remember. With the first cold front and shorter days has dropped the water temperatures down, pushing some of the fish to towards their winter homes. Now the days have been warm some of the fish have moved back onto the flats turning the Trout bite on. Most have been in the 15 to 20 inch slot. The ...full report

December Fishing Ok Fishheads, now that turkey day is over and we all put on at least 5 pounds, its time to get back to some serious fishing. The fishing in November was great; December should continue to be some fantastic fishing. Fish know the winter and cold weather is coming so they will be doing the same thing we did on Thanksgiving, “fatting up”. What does this mean for us anglers ...full report

HERNANDO LAKE In Hernando Fl

caseycourterier

I am new to the area, and have not had much time to fish the lake, but in the past three trips I have been killing the jumbo Bluegills and Black Crappie. I am originally from Northern Michigan so that's what we call them. I think down here they may be called Bream and Specs, I'm not sure though. On 2/15/13 I caught 12 gills the largest on was 12.5 inches long and 6.75 inches from top to bottom. ...full report

We took our kayak out on the Anclote River for some morning fishing. Bites were steady from 6:30 AM until 8:30 AM. We were landing keeper Mangrove Snappers with live shrimp on a cork. We also landed a small Flounder and 6lbs. Sheepshead using Gulp® Sand Fleas on a red jig. From 8:30AM until 10:30AM, action stopped dead, other than pinfish and other small fish stealing our bait. As we were reeling ...full report

My clients in the Venice beach area have brought news of Blacktips along the beaches. The largest one this week I have seen was 3 feet long, caught on live shrimp. Large Flounder, the biggest one 20 inches are also along the beaches. The best technique I know and heard used this week was using pieces of squid cut into strips and then threaded onto a jig head, bounced off the bottom with a lift-pause-reel, ...full report

Early evening, watch near rock piles and lighted areas such as bridge bumpers where these fish have been holding. Top water baits resembling small Baitfish are the most effective for night time. Pasco County Florida

Pasco County waters have been heating up, with a number of King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and Trout being caught in virtually any depth of water. The tides have been strong, and so has the bite on live and artificial baits. Movement of the bait has been the key to targeting different species. Faster movements with flashy baits will produce the Kings and Spanish. Slower movement on the top ...full report
