Tampa bay March Fishing Report Capt. Matt here from sunny Florida the weather has been great. This past week the afternoons have been high 70’s and just breaking 80’s a few days. Yesterday when sitting in my boat watching my customers excitedly reeling in Snook I looked out over the crystal clear water and thought to myself, “I wish everyday was like this”. We have a lot of really nice ...full report

Tampa Bay April 2 Fishing Report Fishing has been top notch as it always is this time of year. We did have two slower days after that strong cold front. Slower meaning we didn’t reel them in quite as fast but still landed 35 Snook on the very toughest day. Inshore fishing has been very good. There is more Snook around than I have seen in many years. 50 to 60 a day has been the norm with ...full report

Tampa Bay Fishing Report 3/21/15

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay. Spring fishing has been on fire the last few weeks, With 78° water temperature and the presents of bait, the Snook are roaming the flats in good numbers. The best it has been in years after the hard freeze back in 2010. Trout fishing is getting better, not catching the Gator Trout we were catching in December, but a lot in the 17 to 20 inch ...full report

Capt Kyle Messier

Say goodbye to the March Madness and hello to two of America’s favorite past times. It’s ironic how most Nature Coast anglers coincide the start of the Major League Baseball season with the beginning of what usually is the start of the best fishing season of the year here locally. The warmer weather has made all outdoor activities a little more pleasant these days and I for one love the sweatshirt ...full report

Tampa Bay

Reel Till U Feel Charters fishing report for Tampa Bay. April is one of my favorite months to fish Tampa Bay. The bait is just about everywhere and the fish are eating well. With the arrival of the bait has the Spanish Mackerel willing to eat it along with spoons and plugs. A chum bag over the side along with some cut up bait pieces has keep the Mackerel chewing along with some Cobia coming into ...full report

Angler Reports

02/21/13 2:36 PM

I am new to the area, and have not had much time to fish the lake, but in the past three trips I have been killing the jumbo Bluegills and Black Crappie. I am originally from Northern Michigan so that's what we call them. I think down here they may be called Bream and Specs, I'm not sure though. On 2/15/13 I caught 12 gills the largest on was 12.5 inches long and 6.75 inches from top to bottom. ...full report

Anclote Fishing Pier
08/13/12 11:13 PM

We took our kayak out on the Anclote River for some morning fishing. Bites were steady from 6:30 AM until 8:30 AM. We were landing keeper Mangrove Snappers with live shrimp on a cork. We also landed a small Flounder and 6lbs. Sheepshead using Gulp® Sand Fleas on a red jig. From 8:30AM until 10:30AM, action stopped dead, other than pinfish and other small fish stealing our bait. As we were reeling ...full report

Venice South Jetty To Englwood
07/28/11 1:26 AM

My clients in the Venice beach area have brought news of Blacktips along the beaches. The largest one this week I have seen was 3 feet long, caught on live shrimp. Large Flounder, the biggest one 20 inches are also along the beaches. The best technique I know and heard used this week was using pieces of squid cut into strips and then threaded onto a jig head, bounced off the bottom with a lift-pause-reel, ...full report

Richie27" Snook6/30/11 Caspersons BeachThe Snook have been hitting on shrimp, Pinfish, small white jigs as well as top water baits during the mornings & throughout the afternoon. Early evening, watch near rock piles and lighted areas such as bridge bumpers where these fish have been holding. Top water baits resembling small Baitfish are the most effective for night time. For Redfish, outgoing ...full report

Pasco County Florida
04/19/11 12:25 PM

Pasco County waters have been heating up, with a number of King Mackerel, Spanish Mackerel, Cobia, and Trout being caught in virtually any depth of water. The tides have been strong, and so has the bite on live and artificial baits. Movement of the bait has been the key to targeting different species. Faster movements with flashy baits will produce the Kings and Spanish. Slower movement on the top ...full report
