Butler Chain Bass Fishing
09/03/10 9:03 AM
Florida Bassin

Bass fishing has been doing very good the past 2 weeks near Orlando. Most of my Bass fishing trips have been done on Butler Chain of Lakes. This chain typically does pretty well in the Florida heat simply because of the deeper waters it has. Every one of the 12 lakes out here will have at least one drop off going to at least 20 feet deep, which is a very good area for Bass to stack up at times as the ...full report

Summertime Bass Fishing In Orlando, Florida
08/31/10 10:32 AM
Florida Bass Adventures

It's late August and typically a time when anglers in other areas of the country are having trouble locating bigger Bass. Fortunately, here in Orlando the summer season can be very exciting especially during the first few hours of the morning. My clients Bee and his 10 year old son Kevin Xiong found out just how good Orlando summer Bass fishing can be during their day which was spent fishing Lake ...full report

capt Pete7lbs. Bass8-14-10 Lake KissimmeeDog days of summer are here. Water temperatures dropping a little really haven’t improved the fishing much. You need to fish very early in the morning or at night to catch decent size fish. Top water devils horse and Sam’s prop baits worked slow on the outside of Kissimmee grass before the sun gets up. Plastic worms pitched and flipped as the sun gets up ...full report

East Lake Toho
08/15/10 11:15 PM
Florida Bassin

The last several days have seen some pretty good Bass fishing on Lake Toho. Our main target had been East Lake Toho, which has not been letting us down. Action has been remaining pretty steady out here using artificial baits and it does seem that the artificial bait bite has been out producing the live bait. Main lake has been yielding some good numbers as well as size, Lake Ajay has also been kicking ...full report

West Lake Toho

August is upon us, and Bass fishing on West Lake Toho has been really good. Still catching fish on edges of hydrilla patches. Some bigger fish have been caught out in open water. Today we boated a Bass trolling a wild Shiners hooked a big Bass weighing 7 lbs. Not bad for summer heat. Bluegill just came off the beds from the last full moon. They were an easy target while they were protecting their ...full report

Finger Lake, Unmarked On Map
07/29/10 9:40 AM

The full moon, ahhhh, sometimes the easiest or hardest times to fish. I was Bass fishing on Finger Lake today, and started out really slow, presenting a challenge, then went over to the small creek that runs under Lake way drive in Lake Mary, and the action started to turn on. Gar, Bass and I sighted some huge Channel Cats. I caught 2 Bass fry on a trick worm, and then the instant I switched to a black ...full report

The full moon really is my favorite time to fish and the few days before it. It seems like I traded quantity for quality as I haven't got many fish, but the one I did land was a trophy 8lb3 oz-er. They were reluctant to hit the worms and soft plastics(even senkos). so I tried a crankbait. Thats what produced this ol gal. My advice is, if its in your tackle box, give it a try for 15-20 minutes, ...full report

I was out yesterday evening around 6:30, my favorite time to fish, am or pm , I caught a few decent size Bass on a berkley powerbait sinking minnow. I was basically jiggin it with the occasional darting tug, as I call it. This resulted in a 9 lb 24 inch monster! what a fight! She pulled and pulled drag out, 'til finally she tired and I landed her. These Bass seem like they are on for a chase, so ...full report

Yesterday, I went throwing a zoom fluke jerk bait, working it on top and letting it sink, this led to 15 Bass in 1 hour! Biggest one 6 lb 3/4oz 22in, not the best I've seen, but a great and fun catch. Seems these post spawn Bass in a lot of poinciana ponds have regained their chasing strength and are hitting dashing, darting style baits....go get em!! - Bassonator ...full report

It seems to me a lot of lakes in the Poinciana and Kissimmee area are in post spawn. I have been catching Bass in the later part of the evening hours on soft plastics. Although they are not responding to lmited motion, they seem to strike it after a few jerks then letting it settle, on that settle, be prepared for a strike... good fishing to all!! ITS HOT ...full report
