Orlando Area Lakes! 12/2

With water temps dropping into the high 60’s big fish finally starting to bite. Caught at least one fish over 8 lbs. each of the last 3 times out. Fish are biting live wild shiners on free lines. Both on the Butler Chain and Lake Kissimmee the fish are outside the grass lines and you catch a number of fish. Artificial bite is a little slow for bigger fish but you can catch some smaller fish up ...full report

Capt Randy DuMarsHand Size Panfish08/01/11 East Lake TohoThe Summer Bite Has been excellent to say the least. The summer rains are keeping the lakes up, and all the flood gates are open spilling water South. Bass are in open water Hydrilla Patches. Plastic baits are a good choice. Crappie are in open water trolling minnows have been the best bet. Practice Safe Boating! Capt Randy DuMars 407-908-8498 www.fl-fish-guides.com  ...full report

Johns Lake 06/28

Florida Bassin

Today we spent some time on Johns Lake with Brian and Ryan Taylor doing some Bass fishing with live wild shiners. Early arrival was the big key to catching Bass out here today. The typical schooling Bass were where they were supposed to be as usual and made for some good action for the day. The guys were surprised to see all the Bass that were schooling as they said they never really see much Bass ...full report

Finger Lake, Unmarked On Map

The full moon, ahhhh, sometimes the easiest or hardest times to fish. I was Bass fishing on Finger Lake today, and started out really slow, presenting a challenge, then went over to the small creek that runs under Lake way drive in Lake Mary, and the action started to turn on. Gar, Bass and I sighted some huge Channel Cats. I caught 2 Bass fry on a trick worm, and then the instant I switched to a black ...full report

The full moon really is my favorite time to fish and the few days before it. It seems like I traded quantity for quality as I haven't got many fish, but the one I did land was a trophy 8lb3 oz-er. They were reluctant to hit the worms and soft plastics(even senkos). so I tried a crankbait. Thats what produced this ol gal. My advice is, if its in your tackle box, give it a try for 15-20 minutes, ...full report

I was out yesterday evening around 6:30, my favorite time to fish, am or pm , I caught a few decent size Bass on a berkley powerbait sinking minnow. I was basically jiggin it with the occasional darting tug, as I call it. This resulted in a 9 lb 24 inch monster! what a fight! She pulled and pulled drag out, 'til finally she tired and I landed her. These Bass seem like they are on for a chase, so ...full report

Yesterday, I went throwing a zoom fluke jerk bait, working it on top and letting it sink, this led to 15 Bass in 1 hour! Biggest one 6 lb 3/4oz 22in, not the best I've seen, but a great and fun catch. Seems these post spawn Bass in a lot of poinciana ponds have regained their chasing strength and are hitting dashing, darting style baits....go get em!! - Bassonator ...full report
