Me and Terry from CFLFR went to NMZ Sunday, it was a beautiful morning with light winds and gin clear water. It was Terry's first time to the NMZ and kayaking. He picked it up real fast. We started the morning with Gulp glow and sardine jerk bait with a bay-side popping cork combo. We picked up a lot of small to med trout with a few gator trout mixed in. I caught one red and missed a few. We practiced catch and release. I am also new to Kayaking, but I am going to start incorporating it in the near future with my charter business. More reports to come. My grouper season is just starting on the west coast. If you never have done shallow water grouper fishing, give it a try also, try trolling for them, it is great this time of year.
