Well headed out to catch some bass today amongst the droves of crappie fisherman. We were going to go to lake kerr but the wind kept us away so we decided on Lake Bryant. We got there about 6:30 am and started with buzzbaits and rapala dt's, 1 keeper in 2 hours. Next we flipped gambler bb crickets 2 more keepers in 4 hours. Just about time to go and I decided to fish a little deeper on the drop off of a huge sand bar hoping to get some staging fish. It worked! Wanted to fish a rattle trap, tied one on and first cast hooked up and lost it. Nice fish too. Started casting into 12 ft of water, letting rattle trap sink to the bottom reeling as slow as possible, bumping the bottom. Never really fished one like that before but man did it work. Caught 10 fish in one spot in about an hour, all keepers. Every time we snagged some brush or weeds we would really give it a snatch, bringing it up off the bottom and WHAM there they were. See ya.........................
