Lake Walk In Water 5/18/08

bahc

The Bass Anglers of Hardee County fished their monthly tournament on Lake Walk in Water this past weekend. We had 21 boats fishing and had the lightest weigh in to date this year by 75lbs. Obviously Team Action Crafters knew something the rest of didn't kow, they hauled in 15.35lbs of fish, almost twice the weight of the second place finishers. Fishing reports from the previous days said 5 fish limits were common place but a front started moving in on Saturday and shut the fish down. I talked to several anglers on Saturday that had fished the lake and no one claimed to be catching very many fish. We put in at the public ramp, the ramp is in fine shape but the water level around the ramp is not, the water is only 1 to 1 1/2 feet deep until you get about 15 yards from the ramp. Wish I could tell you more, but the winners are staying tight lipped. Keep your lures in the water!!
