Mosquito Lagoon
10/06/08 9:18 AM
Captain DREW

The past several days on the Mosquito Lagoon has been an very unique time. First of all the fishing is great. The bending of poles is going on left and right. With the weather staying beautiful outside and fish moving in makes for great times. The flats of the Mosquito Lagoon have been acting very strange...But in a good way. The other day I am sight fishing with my Client Thomas Scoggins and we throw to tailing redfish. HOOK-UP! and BAM! We reel in a blue fish. Next cast same thing...Reel in a trout...This goes on and on and every third cast it is a redfish. Great day...fish after fish after fish. The reds were all around 25-35 inches and we landed several...Total fish were 30 plus for the day.

Fishing around the edges of the islands you will land trout and reds. I like to use a top water in the morning then switch to live mullet or Gulps! Now the black Drum are still moving across the flats on the Mosquito Lagoon...Again I like to throw a Gulp1 at them just because it works for one and second it stays on longer then a shrimp.

Call today to book the trip of a lifetime...Now get out there and catch some fish.
