Playalinda Beach Spot 10
07/04/09 9:08 AM
Justin
We hit up Playalinda yesterday. Our usual spot 11 is closed for boardwalk repair, so we parked at 10 instead. We got there around 9:30, the surf was nice and calm, the weather was perfect and not too hot. I picked up 6 live clams and a bag of dead shrimp from Action B&T in Titusville. I started with the clams, first cast brought up a small Croaker in minutes, which I promptly cut up and rigged to go after a shark. Saw no action from that and after 20 minutes, pulled it back in an re-rigged with some dead shrimp. Had a baby Bonnethead Shark hook up, which ended up being perfect to show to my boy, who is super into Sharks right now. Over the rest of the time we were there, we had many small croakers, Whiting, and small Hammerheads and bonnethead sharks hookup and my buddy Terry caught a Skate, biggest fish of the day we saw. Although everything caught was real small, the weather was perfect and the surf was glorious compared to the last time I was out there.
