Hot, Hot, Hot! It is July in Florida. The kids and I got on the water early, not far from the railroad bridge and we managed to pick up 6 keeper Trout. In the mix was a couple of Jacks (always fun) and of course a few Puffer Fish. We made a short run to some structure in about 6 ft. of water and couldn't keep the Snapper off the Hook. Ended the day with 6 Trout and 8 Snapper. Not bad for the dog days of summer.

For the very first time I tried an Avet SX5.3 MC. MC is this cast control system that Avet developed. I can get a birds-nest in my shoe laces and couldn't do it with this reel. Awesome!

Check out the cast control video at www.avetreels.com and check out the great prices on Avet Reels at www.bluecollartackle.com
