Tampa Bay Tarpon Still Bending Rods.
08/14/09 9:09 AM
CAPT JAY MASTERS
Tarpon are still hot in Tampa bay in August. Last week we brought four Tarpon boat side all over one hundred and ten to twenty pounds each. Jumped three others and all in about two hours. Catch these Silver Kings after the tide changes and starts going out. They will come off the flats and bridges and head for a pass to catch the bait coming out. FRESH bait, not frozen from last month, but fresh will get your rod bent, your reel singing a song and you'll have a great day catching the Tarpon. Mullet eight inches long live one's! Run the hook number eight thru the tail, put two slices on each side of Mullet and free line it in ten to twelve foot of water on the edge of the pass, not in the center. To see a few pictures of the Tarpon caught last week go to fatcatfishingcharters.net and take a look. Also videos of Sharks and others fish being caught while on a Fat Cat Fishing Charter in the Tampa Bay area.

Good Luck,

Captain Jay

PS: If you really want to learn some tricks that took years to learn hire a local guide in your area one time to take you fishing. What you learn in one day would take you years to learn on your own and you'll catch fish a lot more often. Support you local Captains, we are out there for you!
