patrick rood | It has been a busy start to the month of March. Starting with the IFA Redfish Tour in Punta Gorda on the 6th. Finding the fish was not a problem, but finding fish in the slot was. By the looks of the weigh in everyone else had the same issue. But there's always the next one I do want to say congrats to Murphy and Page.
Now let's get to the lagoon, hopefully with the cold weather behind us we can work our way into the spring time routine. You can find schools of Redfish all over the lagoon right now look for the mud and sand bottom and you should find them. The Trout are still holding in the deeper water due to the colder water temps just remember these fish took a beaten during the freeze so handle with care. If Black Drum are more your style then we have some schools of them around also look for the larger sand holes with shell and oyster bottom.
