Inshore Report
03/21/10 12:10 AM
capt josh
The inshore action is steady right now with the nice warm weather we have in the Nature Coast has really made the fish to wake up. The Hot bite is BIG Sea Trout the bite is really fast action with upper slot to over slot size fish being caught. On my recent trips we are getting are limit of Trout in no more than a hour. We are using Berkely Gulp new penny jerk baits and white zooms rig weedless with a 4/0 wide gap hook and 20lb suffix leader the biggest Trout this week was 25 1/2 inches. The Redfish are all over the place in schools of 12-30 fish and they are HUGE the best bait is fresh cut mullet and large shrimp pinch the tail off the shrimp to release some scent the Redfish are in the upper slot 25-27 inches but most of the fish are over the slot up to 32 inches. There are tons of Ladyfish out there that will keep your rod bent also we are still getting Black Drum up 10lbs on shrimp, fish around rocks and oyster bars for the Drum. The water temperature is warming up every day so the fishing is going to get even better next week so now is the time to book a trip and Enjoy some hot fishing action.

ITS FISHING TIME,
