copout
Last weekend there were Cobia all over the place. Many boats have scored big this month with some monster Cobes just everywhere. Anyone who has gone out and targeted them had good success. Lives baits and jigs were the menu orders lately for these good eating giants. None on our trips were targeting Cobes but we kept seeing them and catching a few as bi-catch. Huh, did he say catching Cobia as bi-catch? That’s how many have been around. I actually think there were more Cobia brought to the tournament weight in then Dolphin. On that note the Dolphin bite has stepped up and is turning on for us. Several fish in the 30 pound range along with a 45 pound monster were caught this weekend. The Kingfish have also shown up in good number and we lost a fish that would have been in the 40’s yesterday. A young man named Bryceson fought this fish for 30 minutes until the thirty pound braid just could not hold up and more. Sad to see it happen but we did get to see the size of it before the break. Nice work Bryceson!!!

We also hit the bottom a few times and found a large number of big vermillions around, along with mangrove snappers. The summer season is in full swing some come down and get you some.
