copout | Well the fish have been here for a month now and freezers are filling up. Yesterday 6-30-10 (my first day of retirement by the way) we took some folks out and spotted at least 100 Cobia. The fish were all over the place and ever boat around us had fish on. I have never seen Cobia as thick and here for as long as these fish have been. Our clients did not want to keep any fish as they were out of town and had no place to keep them. We kept two to put in the freezer and released all the other fish. I saw one which would have gone about 80 pounds but when I cast the bait to him a smaller one grabbed it up. The largest fish we had was about 50 pounds and the guy fought it for 40 minutes before the line gave up and popped, what a massive fish. It’s game on and I hope they stay here a little longer.
