Port Canaveral - 8A Copout Fishing Charters
07/21/10 9:15 AM
copout
Had a chance to take some 10 year old baseball players out who were in town on a tournament. Capt. Bill from Crusher Charters helped out with a second boat as we had too many for one. Needless to say he is a first class operation and we put together a great trip for these guys. 8A again was the place to be as the Kings and Cobia are still there. The last two days has been sporty but they hung in there and put a whooping on some fish. The Cobia went all the way to 50 pounds and the Kings were on the small side but full of fight. Slow trolling live baits is the way to go right now and there are even 12 pound Red Snappers on 8A being caught trolling. You are apt to catch about anything right now even though it is a "slow" bite period. It would appear that the weather may be changing that a little for the better. We also caught five Phins, Kings and one Cobia the day before in the same area. If the pattern holds and the weather clears it should be good times for bit.

Capt. Jeff
