Clearing Water Improving Weather Spark Good Bite In Fort Myers - Fort Myers Beach Inshore Fishing
04/09/14 8:12 PM
Now that we are finally done with this procession of cold fronts and the strong winds that come with them the fishing this coming week in Fort Myers and Ft Myers Beach (March 31st – April 6th) will be outstanding. The Gulf has finally quieted down and the water is starting to clear which is great news for everyone. Everyone had a tough couple of weeks with a combination of dirty water and rapidly changing surface water temperatures. When you combine all these conditions, your bait presentation needed to be exact and you had to slow way down to catch fish.

I spent last week fishing down in the Marco Island area rather than in my normal guiding area of Fort Myers, Fort Myers Beach, and Estero Bay. In addition to outstanding trout and redfish action that my clients had, one of my primary objectives was to check on the migrating Tarpon, and the good news is that they we there in bunches.

If you are interested in catching a Tarpon on light tackle or a fly Rod this week could be the start of our fantastic spring summer and fall Tarpon fishing if the weather cooperates. As a bonus the warmer than usual water temperatures have a lot of really nice Snook distributed all across the area, giving you a decent shot at really nice Snook any time you\\\'re out fishing.

I realize that there are about three weeks of spring breakers that are looking forward to their fishing vacation in Fort Myers. With the fishing conditions improving rapidly and the long-range forecast calling for more normal weather please don\\\'t wait until the last minute to book your fishing charter.
